1. Why we process your personal data

We process personal data to fulfill our obligation as a home seller/project developer and to carry out our activities as best as possible, in accordance with the applicable legal obligations. We process your personal data to carry out the following activities:


  • For the maintenance, improvement and security of our website(s);
  • To assess the creditworthiness of a (potential) buyer;
  • For drawing up purchase and construction agreements;
    For the purpose of buyer guidance;
  • For ordering and carrying out additional and less work (such as sanitary facilities, kitchens and other services from, among others, the THUIS showroom);
  • For assigning construction numbers;
  • For verification or authentication;
  • For informing, contacting and invoicing;
  • To improve our services;
  • To prepare work relating to your home by us or our suppliers;

If FTS wants to process personal data for another purpose that is not related to one of the purposes mentioned above, we will always inform you about this, for example by adjusting our privacy statement Dura Vermeer Buyers or a message on our website or a personal message to you.

2. Information about the person responsible for processing your data

3. Personal data that we process about you

Our starting point is that we do not process more data than is necessary to carry out the activities mentioned in paragraph 1. We may process the following personal data:

  • name and address details;
  • Contact details;
  • Number and type of ID;
  • Date of birth, place and gender;
  • Shoe size;
  • IP address and browsing behavior;
  • Financial data, such as income and asset data and financial obligations;
  • Information about your employment;
  • Data about the current living situation, home and family composition;
  • Preferences and interests (e.g. construction number, additional and/or reduced work options);
  • Conversation reports, complaints and evaluations;

We have obtained most of the information from you, with the exception of the following information:

Complaints, evaluations and conversation reports from or via our own employees and intermediaries;
Data for the preliminary stages of purchasing a home, via lead management systems, national housing construction platforms, real estate agents and financial advisory firms.


4. Legal basis for using your data

We use your personal data because it is necessary for:

  • The execution of the purchase/construction agreement and additional agreements with you;
  • In some cases we may only process your data if you have given permission to do so. If you enter your personal data in a (web) form, you also give permission for the processing of your personal data. You can withdraw that consent at any time. We will then stop further processing of your personal data, unless there is another legal basis for the processing.
  • It is necessary to promote Dura Vermeer's legitimate interest. This legitimate interest is, for example, to check your creditworthiness and to accelerate the progress of the buyer process.


5. To whom can we provide your personal data?

Only Dura Vermeer employees who need the personal data to perform their work have direct access to your data in the Dura Vermeer systems.

Sometimes it is necessary for our activities to engage third parties, for example (software) suppliers, brokers or subcontractors. This third party will only have access to your personal data if we are satisfied that the third party will only use the data in a manner and for a purpose related to the purpose for which the data was obtained, and only in accordance with this privacy statement. Furthermore, the confidentiality obligations and security measures required by law always apply to prevent your personal data from unintentionally becoming known to other parties.

In exceptional cases, Dura Vermeer must provide information to third parties such as the tax authorities or police, due to a legal obligation. We always look at how we can respect your right to privacy as best as possible. This also applies if the provision of your data is necessary in the interest of the security of the State, the prevention or detection of criminal offenses, or if the interests of other people are at stake.

For the management and maintenance of our computer systems, it may also be necessary for our supplier to have access to the systems. The supplier may also be able to view your personal data. This only happens if the supplier can help us and in compliance with strict conditions, such as a confidentiality obligation on the part of the supplier.

If we have to transfer your data outside Europe, for example because a data center or our supplier is located there, we will only do this under the conditions set by law, for example through a contract to which the EU Model Clauses apply.

6. Your right to object

You can object to the use of your personal data, for example if you believe that the use of your personal data is not necessary for the performance of our activities or to comply with a legal obligation. Do not forget to make your BSN illegible on the copy before you send it. Please state clearly in the letter to which use of your data you object.

What are your other rights in connection with the processing of your personal data?

  • You have the right to inspect your personal data. This means that you can request which personal data has been registered about you and for what purposes that data is used.
  • If you believe that we have incorrect personal data about you, you can have this personal data corrected. You can also ask us to limit the processing of your personal data , including for the period we need to assess your requests or objection.
  • You can also ask us to delete your personal data from our systems. We will comply with your request unless we have a compelling legitimate interest not to delete the data that outweighs your privacy interests. Once we have deleted the data, for technical reasons we cannot immediately delete all copies of the data from our systems and backup systems.
  • You can also ask us to ensure that your personal data is transferred to another party.
  • We may refuse to comply with the aforementioned requests if they are made unreasonably often, require unreasonably heavy technical efforts or have unreasonably heavy technical consequences for our systems, endanger the privacy of others or are extremely impractical.

7. Retention periods

We do not store data for longer than is necessary to carry out our activities, unless we are required to keep your data for longer due to a legal regulation.

8. How do we protect your data?

We take all reasonable, appropriate security measures to protect Dura Vermeer and our customers and employees against unlawful access or modification, disclosure or destruction of personal data. We comply with the applicable security standards. If, despite the security measures, a security incident occurs that is likely to have adverse consequences for your privacy, we will inform you about the incident as soon as possible. We will therefore inform you about the measures we have taken to limit the consequences and prevent recurrence in the future.
